I had heard that this was one of the oldest hotels in Bahrain and upon arriving, unfortunately it was plain to see. At its best, I would class it as a three star not five.

Check in at reception went smoothly, however my room smelt like a cat had died in it!!. it was definitely showing signs of age.I was also disappointed at the size of the room - it was tiny.

I wanted to use the IT room however at a charge of $40 a day decide it can wait. how expensive is that and how do they justify the charge.

I also did not stay long in the bar. It was filed with crowds of military personal and older men eying up the band that was playing. Due to the amount of beer they were consuming I figured it was going to get rowdy and I left quickly.

Over I went to the coffee shop where they were having steak night, I am not sure what it was but it was definitely not steak.

Even though the hotel is cheaper than other 4 / 5 star hotels, this is reflected in the decor. I would be quite willing to pay extra if it means they can give the hotel a make-over.
