I was immediately dumbstruck when walking in this mosque. It really is divine and has the most awesome light fittings, marble and carpets.

Apparently the materials used in building the mosque come from many different places all over the world including Italy and Scotland.

We had a guide who was very enthusiastic and helpful. The rumors that the guides will try and convert you, are totally untrue. We threw a lot of questions at the guide and all the time he was so relaxed and at ease when giving us the answers. The answers were so informative and added to the whole experience.

We wanted to donate a little something but could not find the donation box. We felt uneasy about asking as well, perhaps they should put it right outside the door so people see it when they are leaving.

This is a place that is worth seeing. The volunteers that they have around the mosque are so helpful and very informative. The volunteers bring the place alive.

I went with children and even the children had a good time. They loved the stalls that were set up and we bought a few goodies from them.

If anyone wants to gain more of an understanding of this religion then just visit the mosque and everything will fall into place. An excellent day which i recommend to everyone.
