I just recently came to be a Viva customer using mobile service / Bandluxe Internet service... all what i can say is that... the service is excellent... so far better than any other operator i ever used in Bahrain...

I am trapped by purchasing VIVA internet unlimited connection. Viva lunched a promotion campaign offering two months free unlimited internet connection and BD. 30 after two months. I purchased the connection on 25 August and everything was perfect till 29 September. Suddenly the line was disconnected without any notice. I was informed that BD.6.75 is overdue and I have to pay to reconnect the line. I made the payment, even though I didn't understand the reason. The line was not reconnected still , I was again informed by VIVA that I have to pay some amount as deposit, which is totally a new information to me. As per the contract with VIVA I met all the conditions and VIVA is introducing new conditions later which quite unfair. I don't have internet connection for the last 5 days, as I already disconnected the Batelco internet connection.

I think, the promotions and colorful offers are to attract the butterflies to the fire!

I love Viva :) what can you ask more from a mobile company, continuous FREE calls from Viva to Viva :)

Viva made me talk endlessly without worrying about my end of month bill.

Better than Zain and Batelco in terms of pricings and offers . Customer Service not so good though and their Branches are few and hard to find ; also their shops are quite lame when you compare tham to Zain. Their Blackberry serive is cheaper than Zain and Batelco 10BD/month and with unlimited usage. They have the best offers in Bahrain , you get free calls after 8!!

I feel it is just hype and marketing might but no real substance. I see Large billboards on all major motorways , offers and discounts everywhere, but it will take more to convince me , more than a nicely crafted website with not much useful info (apart from good ads) http://www.viva.com.bh/static/CorporatePortal/English/HelpAndSupport/ContactUs/index.htm, a published contact number that is disconnected! Tel:+973 33 010101 - looks like Viva did not pay it's telephone bill :-)
and an abandoned customer care e-mail: customercare@viva.com.bh that has no one cares to check and reply ( I sent them 3 e-mails , in March , April and May 2010 , I also wrote on their Facebook pages ) and I am yet to receive any reply ! I did not even get an auto responder! That tells me about the customer service ! What does it tell you? It will be too harsh to give them only one star ( because I am not a customer yet ) , but I feel that something is terrible wrong in their strategy - it is a very common pitfall to spend more and more on Marketing and less on after sale service and customer care , changing the 80/20 maxim to rather 20/80 , if you know what I mean :-)

Viva is aweseme. I personaly expereinced unmatched service from Viva, here is why I love it
Call Center : You get an answer within 20 to 30 seconds.
Internet : Fastest ever in Bahrain
Coverage : Excellent (I have an issue with Hidd Bridge though, always drops there)
Cost : Much lower, with plenty of free stuff, amazing value for money.
